The Return of the Debutante Cotillion is back after 2 years! You will not want to miss this Spectacular Event. This year marks the 70th year that young women have been presented to the Jackson community through the Debutante Scholarship Program Cotillion. This Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. signature program was designed to promote and cultivate scholarship, leadership, poise, character, and excellence in the selected young ladies. Since the Cotillion’s inception under the leadership of Dr. Cleo Brooks Boyd in 1952, Nu Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. has used this program as a means of promoting excellence in young women and awarding scholarships for their scholastic achievement, fundraising, and overall participation. Funding for the scholarships come from solicitations, corporate and patron donations. The Debutante Scholarship Program Cotillion is enhanced through workshops and other activities that are designed to assist the young ladies in their personal growth and development.
