No, no, not you too, Minnie! I can't believe you ( who I always believed to be a strong defender of female sanity) have now fallen into the grasps of Woke. Oh, Minnie, I have always loved your red polka dotted dress. Now suddenly, you have abandoned that joyful colorful image and become more "today." I don't care if Stella McCarthy is your new designer, I preferred the old "Minnie." Life was depressing enough last week (adding to the malaise of weather and pandemic fears) when M&Ms changed their footware. I must be honest, however. I never cared what M&Ms wore. My only interest was in their unique chocolate flavor, and frankly, never looked at their shoes. However, admittedly, it was another jolt in today's fragmented world. I have had so many things to ponder about with concern; Russia and the Ukraine, climate change, another new variant of Covid, and there is always comfort in what is old and familiar. Now I am not insinuating you are old, Minnie, but let's be realistic. I believe we are close in age. To be exact (and forgive me for mentioning it) you are precisely two years older. So why change your look now? Frankly, I don't think it is becoming to discard the image that brought you fame, if not fortune. I honestly believe when you discard the lovely red dress for a boring pant suit, you also discard me. And that hurts. I admit I have worn and probably still own a pant suit or two, but then I have never been famous and no one would ever recognize me even if Mickey held my hand. (Although that might cause a second glance since we are an unlikely couple.) I don't want to pour the proverbial water on your parade, dear friend of yore, but nobody will notice you either in a pant suit. Even when Mickey is with you. Keep the red polka dotted dress in a closet, just in case. You might need it.
