Roanoke Fire-EMS Department reported to a laundry fire at a downtown Hampton Inn located on Church Avenue over the weekend. Reportedly, eighty rooms were evacuated while the relatively mild fire was extinguished. (WSLS 10)Roanoke County Government kicks off their Winter Reading Program. Starting today, children under five years of age can pick up their reading log for their Winter Reading Challenge from their favorite library branch.
