CROFTON, MD — A man was killed and an Anne Arundel County police officer was injured in a shooting early Sunday in Crofton, according to a report from WBAL TV. Officers responded to reports of family violence at a house on Danville Court at approximately 4 a.m., according to the report. Police said the suspect, the son of the 911 caller, initially got on the ground when ordered but began fighting officers when they attempted to handcuff him. An officer suffered serious injuries, and the suspect was shot in the altercation, according to the report. The incident is being investigated by the Maryland Attorney General's Office, according to a tweet from the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
