Here are the top 3 stories today in Chattanooga: After a recent bridge collapse in Pittsburgh, citizens are now concerned about Chattanooga's bridges. According to the American Road and Transportation Builder's Association, Hamilton County has four bridges that are among the most traveled structurally deficient bridges in the state. People are calling for the construction industry to be held more accountable. (WTVC) A Chattanooga pastor will kick off Black History Month at Carson-Newman University. Dr. Ternae Jordan Sr., pastor at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, will present a biblical insight into the role of the Black church as he shares his well-documented experiences. The public event will be Feb. 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will also be live-streamed at cn.edu/live. (TimesNews) Former Tennessee Chief of Police, Anthony Bean, has been found guilty of civil rights offenses. He was convicted for using excessive force against two arrestees while he was a law enforcement officer. Bean's sentencing has been set for June 24, 2022, and he currently faces a maximum penalty for 10 years of imprisonment.
