Description

Join AYC & Denae Richards for an afternoon of relaxation practices within the Main Hall of Arlington Museum of Art. **** You must wear a mask at all times inside Arlington Museum of Art, including during this event**** Join Arlington Yoga Center & Denae Richards as you are guided into a state of deep relaxation and restoration. Discover how the sound of gongs, Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls and other instruments streamline the therapeutic relaxation process. Sound delivers powerful waves into your mind and body, putting you in an instant restorative trance. Your entire being elevates into a relaxed state where your mind slows & your body melts. In addition, the sound stimulates the medulla in the brain stem activating the auditory (vagas) nerve that connects with all the muscles of the body. This triggers the parasympathetic systems and signals the body to relax and flood the brain with natural healing chemicals. This deep relaxation sets the stage for healing at all levels. This workshop will begin with gentle movement & meditation followed by 40 minutes of therapeutic sounds where you will be lying down in a comfortable position bathed by the healing sounds of the instruments. A mask is required at all times inside the museum including during this event and we'll spread out with 6ft distancing between participants. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring anything with you to create a comfortable meditation nest – pillows, essential oils, eye cover, blankets, etc. $30 per person - Space is limited, so grab your spot before we sell out! Your ticket includes admission to the art museum, so once the event ends, make sure to peruse the current collection at AMA. ———————- As a Certified Sound Practitioner, Denae has been studying & practicing music & sound for many years. Sound has been a part of her life since early childhood, playing the piano, singing in the choir, playing saxophone in high school & college. After experiencing gongs and singing bowls for the first time, she was immediately drawn to sound in a way she had never before experienced. She continues to explore different ways in which sound & frequency has an innate connection with healing the body on many levels: emotional, spiritual & physical. In August 2017, Denae became a graduate with honors from The Globe Sound Healing Institute. Currently Denae hosts group sound meditation sessions at various locations around the Dallas area. She conducts private sessions out of her sound room at her residence For more information, visit www.denaerichards.com 214-531-3514 Facebook /holisticsoundslife Instagram @gonggirl Twitter @gongirl
