Description
ANDOVER, MA — Andover is offering $200,000 of its CARES Act funding for rental and mortgage assistance for residents who lost income due to the coronavirus, the town said. Residents who make the area median income or less are eligible to receive up to $5,000 for up to one month's rent or mortgage payment.
Area median income ranges from $68,600 for a person living alone to $113,700 for a six-member household.
The Andover Community Trust is administering the program, which will make payments directly to landlords and mortgage lenders.
To be eligible, applicants must live in Andover, show evidence that the virus reduced their income, and have the cooperation of their landlord or lender.
Full eligibility information and the application are available here. The town also shared other housing information from the state and legal services providers.
