Hi. I am a 61-year-old female who is a lifetime resident of Northern Virginia. I had a pancreas/kidney transplant at Georgetown Transplant Institute almost six years ago. My pancreas is doing fine, but my kidney is rapidly failing. It’s only functioning at approx 16%. I am looking for someone who is interested in becoming my living donor. A kidney donor can live a normal, healthy life after giving the recipient a chance for a longer life! Please share my post. It can take a week or so for someone tonredpond to you. My insurance pays for the donors hospitalization, surgery, etc. A donor will be in the hospital anywhere from 1 to 4 days post surgery.
