$400-$500. I need to have my crawl space insulated. It will be a dirty job as the crawl space is only about 2' high in most places, and there is some duct work that needs to be crawled around. Some of the duct work is also leaking in a few spots and would need to be taped (not rocket science). Most of the house is insulated underneath, but the insulation has fell in places and needs to be put back up and secured up with wood lath every couple of feet. For the areas where the insulation isn't salvageable I purchased batches of paper backed R-19. The existing insulation is not paperbacked. The area that needs to be insulated is about 500 Sq ft, but as I said - most of it is already insulated. I am looking for someone that has done insulation before, and has enough common sense that I don't have to baby sit them. I will repeat again - This will be a dirty job. Side note..... I anticipate this job taking two 8 hour days to complete (if you work consistently at normal speed - less if you work fast) and I am paying $400, but will throw another hundred your way if I am satisfied with the work (meaning I don't crawl my fat ass under there just to see you cut corners). I will pay you $100 at the end of each day, and the balance when you are finished. I do not care if your car needs a new battery, you're grandma needs groceries, you are late on your cell phone bill, etc. Your financial and life problems are YOUR problems. I also do not care what you choose to spend your money on and do in your spare time. I only judge people based on their reliability and work ethic. Nothing more, nothing less.
