Hello, and thanks for taking the time to read this post. It's been a few years now since our family cat Chewy (a.k.a. Chubacaa) went missing and I'm just looking to get some closure on it, especially since my father is the one that took it the hardest. My dad really loved the guy and honestly, out of all the cats we've rescued over my lifetime, I've never seen him bond with cat like he did Chewy. To make matters worse, Chewy wasn't the only cat we lost that day! Just minutes before his disappearance from in front of our house, he witnessed our older cat Chip get accidentally ran over, to which ultimately led to him having to be put down. So after putting one cat down, we returned home and immediately started to look for Chewy, eventually calling it a night and hoping we'd hear him crying to come inside. We imagine he got scared when he saw chip get ran over and ran across to houses across the way. The chances of him being found and alive are slim, that I understand. I write this due to the fact that he is a Nebulung feline which is sorta a rare breed. With that being said, I know people don't always do the right thing and will sometimes fall in love with a stray pet, and out of selfishness, will refuse to take it to the vet to see if its chipped and already with a loving home. On the flip side, he may have been attacked by an animal. If that's the case, I'd like to see if someone has the decency to kindly say they saw the limp cat body and humanely disposed of it. Again, I appreciate your time. If anything, maybe this post will encourage others who've lost animal family members to not lose hope in maybe retrieving their own.
