We are looking for an experienced delivery driver to deliver appliances. You will be an independent contractor. Skills and qualifications that are important for Delivery Drivers to have include: A valid driver’s license, and in some cases a commercial driver’s license At least two year experience in driving 26' box trucks and appliance installation experience. Must have a valid DOT card. Knowledge of how to handle materials safely, such as food or chemicals Familiarity with using navigation systems Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo An average work day will consist of: Beginning your day by arriving to the designated packaging facility. You will park your delivery truck at the loading dock and load parcels assigned to your particular route. Throughout the day, you will drive around the assigned routed area, using a GPS navigation to find addresses and deliver appliances. You may also return one or more times to the facility to pick up more goods for delivery. When your assigned route is finished then your work day is complete. What I am looking for in a delivery driver: Someone who values customer service. This would enable you to provide timely delivery while also handling customer's appliances with care. You should also be physically fit to a degree in order to lift and maneuver heavy deliveries without difficulty or injury. As a delivery driver you should have an excellent driving record and should prioritize safety when driving to and from delivery locations.
