Coronavirus: Acton Reports 17 Confirmed Cases

ACTON, MA — Acton reported 17 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in town, as of Monday. To limit the spread of the virus, the board of health voted to close NARA Park immediately for the duration of the declared local state of emergency. Rail trails and conservation trails remain open but the town is reminding residents to practice social distancing at all times. The Town of Acton has set up a COVID-19 hotline, it can be accessed by calling 978-929-6619. Acton's Public Safety Facility is serving as a central drop-off point for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including home-made masks. If residents have N95 masks, PPE or home-made masks, they are urged to share them. The police will distribute items locally where most needed. Call first 978-929-7711 to coordinate your drop-off. The Public Safety Facility is located at 371 Main Street in Acton. The state's coronavirus case count nears 14,000 and a death toll of 260. Gov.
