With violence in the community being at an all time high, the youth needs its leaders now more than ever before. In New Castle County, some of the most important things for our youth are keeping them active and protecting their mental health. With violence in the community being at an all time high, the youth needs its leaders now more than ever before. The Travel Morena presents The Influencers Health & Wellness Basketball & Tournament. This tournament combines sports, tech, influence, and mental health support for this urgent time to provide sustainability in our kids' lives. It truly takes a village to make an impact. Each year, we aim to gain more support from our local communities and partners from around the world to help with our mission of keeping kids active and off of the streets. We are hosting a youth mental health and wellness basketball tournament to address these issues in various ways. The tournament would have various health and wellness resources on site (for kids and adults}, summer youth program support, and an influential gaming extravaganza. We will build 8 teams (youth ages 12-14). The Tournament: Date: Saturday, JUNE 25, 2022Duration: One day, single-elimination (5 on 5 basketball)Location: Police Athletic League of Wilmington, Wilmington, DE Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PMBasketball Tournament Players: Youth Ages 12-14 (8 Teams)Format: PLAYOFFS (Games 1-4) Playoff positions are determined by sponsor contribution & timing of player registration. Game 5 -1st Seed will play 4th Seed Game 6- 2nd Seed will play 3rd Seed Winner of games 5 & 6 advance to Championship Game 7. Please note: There are only 8 team spots available (FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE) Every player must have a signed waiver & birth certificate check, prior to being put on a team roster.
