Great musical opportunity if you play keyboards or vocals; also horns and percussion. New band! So far drummer, bass, and guitar. All good musicians with experience playing gigs. So far we’re playing jazz, funk, and soul. Normal, considerate band members who are passionate musical hobbyists; now accepting more of the same. So far no drinkers or smokers. Family friendly vibe. I’m sure a beer or glass of wine with rehearsal would be fine if that’s your thing. No one has to play a song they don’t like. Democratic method for prioritizing songs, where each member gets to present songs, rank the songs according to how much they like them, and veto the songs they don’t want to play. Each person’s personal/musical goals and boundaries are discussed and understood by every other member; at the very beginning and also from time to time as we go along.  So far everyone wants to play regular gigs in a band that most people would enjoy listening to. Emphasis on learning and becoming better musicians. Very good environment for everyone to go from good to great! Age, race, and gender identity are not a factor. Character definitely is a factor. Musicianship should be somewhere in the ballpark of where the rest of us are at: lifelong musical hobbyists seeking to get really good.   Reach out! You’ll be glad you did.
