Regional competition for International Pencak Silat form: Jurus Tunggal Join our winter Pencak Silat tournament focused only on the International Pencak Silat Form Jurus Tunggal which is a form consisting of 100 moves divided into 14 "jurus" or technique sets. Jurus Tunggal was developed in the 1980's and combines techniques from multiple Pencak Silat styles into one formalized form to be completed in exactly 3 minutes. The Tunggal Tournament will have various categories: Full Jurus Tunggal -100 moves , 14 jurus - golok (machete) and toya (staff) to be completed in exactly 3 minutes.Jurus Tunggal 1-10 (empty hand & golok)Jurus Tunggal 1-7(empty hand)Jurus Tunggal intermediate (1-5)Jurus Tunggal beginner Open forms (any martial arts style)All Silat participants must wear the proper Pencak Silat attire (Ikat & kain samping as seen in the photo). The USA Pencak Silat Federation (UPSF) is a non-profit Pencak Silat association in the USA to represent Silat from the Nusantara community that includes, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darusalam, and Singapore. USA Pencak Silat Federation is organized for exclusively charitable, educational and scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Specifically, the organization will provide educational programs and awareness to the public regarding the fighting art of Silat, as well as provide charitable giving to other non-profit organizations.
