HandsOn New Orleans's annual fundraiser, Bacchanalia, is back! This fun event features food, music, raffle items, and UNLIMITED wine! Here's how it works: Form a team of between 1 and 3 people. Tickets are $50 per person / team member. The team brings 3 bottles of the exact same red wine. You can choose any red varietal (e.g. Pinot Noir, Cabs, etc.) just as long as each bottle is the same. There is no minimum or maximum dollar amount you need to spend. Turn in the three bottles of wine at the event. Two are uncorked for blind tasting and scoring by the crowd. The third bottle is placed in reserve. The wines are assigned numbers and can all be blind-tasted throughout the evening. Everyone will be asked to vote on their favorite wine, using score cards provided on arrival. The winning wine is announced at the end of the night. The team that brought this wine wins 50% of the unopened bottles of wine. Second and third place teams each take 25% of the remaining unopened bottles. There will also be a raffle so be prepared to buy tickets for a chance to win awesome prizes - all for a good cause! 1. Can I come if I don't like wine? Yes! We will have food and a cash bar for those who don't like wine and won’t participate in the tasting. No need to buy a ticket, but we ask for a minimum $35 donation at the door to attend. 2. Can I come and participate in the tasting, but not be a part of a team / bring any wine? Yes! Please select the Tasting Only option when purchasing a ticket. This will allow you to taste as much wine as you like, but you won’t be contributing wine and therefore won’t have the chance to win wine. 3. Can my team have more than 3 members? Afraid not.
