Fundraising event benefiting Faith Hope & Love, featuring Craft Soda and Beer tastings, Fishsticks Comedy Team and DJ Positive. Imagine you are seven years old and suddenly you wake up to police officers in your bedroom.They will be taking you away from your mom and/or dad--the only home you know--to a strange house and people you have never met. They hand you a black trash bag and tell you that you have five minutes to put all of your personal belongings in the bag. How would you feel being handed a garbage bag for your possessions as if they were garbage? Afraid? Embarrassed? Angry? No child wants or deserves to feel like this. Yet this is exactly what has been happening in Racine County and many other communities across the United States.As foster parents, my husband and I often received children with a trash bag of their belongings or sometimes nothing at all. Faith Hope & Love decided this was unacceptable and created Duffel for Kids. We provide a duffel bag filled with personal care and comfort items. Our bags are utilized by all law enforcement in Racine County,homeless shelters, foster care homes, and domestic abuse shelters. Would you please consider partnering us and attending our Fishstick Comedy, Craft Beer/Craft Soda Tasting and Silent Auction? The proceeds will go towards making sure no child receives a trash bag for their belongings, but instead receives a duffel bag filled with: fleece blanket, stuffed animal, flashlight, storybook and personal hygiene items. Come out for a great night of Silent Auction, Food, and Drinks and enjoy the comedy Fishstick Team! Mission statement - building faith, hope & love in the lives of children in crisis.  Our goal is to expand Faith, Hope & Love and our Duffels for Kids, BlastPacks, Operation Christmas Cheer, and Back To School; programs across the United States in an effort to reach as many children in crisis situations as possible. We are constantly exploring and testing a variety of new programs to achieve this goal.
