Witnesses Sought In Fatal Accident In Tarpon Springs Thursday

TARPON SPRINGS, FL — Tarpon Springs police are asking anyone who may have witnessed a fatal accident Thursday night to come forward. At 6:55 p.m., officers responded to an accident at East Tarpon Avenue and South Highland Avenue. According to police, a black 2009 Nissan Cube was heading north on South Highland Avenue, attempting to turn west onto East Tarpon Avenue, when it collided with a white 2014 Dodge Ram at the intersection. Both drivers were taken to the hospital with injuries. The driver of the Nissan later died at the hospital.
