Press release from the Town of Wakefield: January 28, 2022 - 10:43am This weekend, the region is preparing for a significant storm with 12 to 18 inches of accumulation possible. The Town of Wakefield has issued a parking ban from Friday evening at midnight to 12 noon on Sunday. All parked cars must be removed from the roadways. If your residence does not have a driveway, you are encouraged to connect with your landlord for parking options or coordinate with a neighbor who has extra driveway space. The Civic Center and Beebe Library will be closed on Saturday, January 29. The Library expects to open as scheduled at 1 p.m. on Sunday, but guests are encouraged to check their website at www.wakefieldlibrary.org for updates prior to visiting. The Department of Public Works and Fire Department appreciate your assistance helping them clear catch basins and hydrants near your home.
