Description
MARSHFIELD, MA — Coastal flooding has some Marshfield streets completely underwater as a powerful nor'easter makes its way to Massachusetts Saturday morning.
The Marshfield Fire Department has issued a warning to residents asking them to stay off the roads.
The floods have reached so high the esplanade of Brant Rock appears to be part of the ocean.
Crews spent the week reinforcing the 650-foot seawall at Brant Rock in anticipation of beach erosion and flooding but the high tide continues to rise despite it all.
More than 115,000 and counting are without power as a potentially historic nor'easter settles into the weekend as of Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
More than two feet of snow is expected in some areas.
A blizzard warning is in effect through midnight.
