In addition to Craigslist, you can find musicians and bands on www.Bandmix.com which I often like better because people have profiles with music, pictures and videos, so you can get a better feel if they are a match for you. Bands have profiles on there too. Creating a profile is free but you have to pay money to contact someone, luckily there are plenty of ways to get around that. I don't work for bandmix and have nothing to do with them, I'm just sharing this info in case it helps some fellow musicians and bands.
