HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — An SUV hit a Tampa man's car from behind during a crash killing him on Interstate 4 near Mango Road Friday morning, a Florida Highway Patrol news release said.
The 34-year-old Tampa driver changed lanes on I-4 eastbound at about 3:33 a.m. crashing into a second vehicle, troopers said.
An SUV struck the victim's car from behind when it moved into the center lane following the collision with the second vehicle, officer said.
Medical officials took the victim to a local hospital where he later died, according to authorities.
Traffic investigators had I-4 eastbound closed for several hours following the wreck.
The two other drivers experienced minor injuries, troopers said.
