Press release from the City of Long Beach: January 28, 2022 In anticipation of the storm, the City Manager has declared a Snow Emergency effective 7pm tonight through 4pm on Sunday, January 30th. During a Snow Emergency, parking is prohibited on Snow Emergency Routes throughout the City. This allows for safe snow removal, mass transportation, and emergency operations throughout and after the storm. Vehicles parked in Snow Emergency Routes will be towed. Please remove vehicles from the following Snow Emergency Routes: •West Beech Street from Nevada Avenue to Grand Boulevard •West Park Avenue from Nevada Avenue to New York Avenue •West Side of Maryland Avenue from Park Avenue to Beech Street •West Side JJ Evans Boulevard from Park Avenue to Pine Street •Shore Road from Long Beach Boulevard to Maple Boulevard •East Pine Street from Neptune Boulevard to Curley Street Parking on the Pine Street Canal Bridges is prohibited. Alternate side of the street parking will remain in effect to ensure that snow is removed efficiently. Any vehicle parked on the above streets during a declared Snow Emergency will be towed at the owner's expense. After the snow is cleared, streets will be reopened for parking. In addition, the Recreation Center will be closed Saturday, January 29. There will be regular Commercial Sanitation pickup. For more information, please click here.
