GLEN BURNIE, MD — Police announced that a Monday home invasion and assault in Glen Burnie prompted the arrests of an Aberdeen man and a Severn juvenile. Officers identified the adult arrestee as 26-year-old Jonathan McClendon. Authorities did not release the name of the 17-year-old male suspect. This is normal protocol for minors charged with most crimes. The encounter happened around 6:30 p.m. at a home in the 1000 block of Cayer Drive, a press release said. Police accused the suspects of entering, demanding money from an adult resident and assaulting him when he did not comply. The suspects fled in a silver Nissan Altima. Officers said they spotted the sedan near Ritchie Highway and 6th Avenue NE and positively identified the occupants as the suspects.
