BALTIMORE, MD — Local leaders and federal investigators are offering a reward for information in the Baltimore house fire that resulted in the deaths of three Baltimore City firefighters. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering $10,000 for information leading to the positive identification of a person of interest, and Baltimore City and Baltimore County have matched the reward money, bringing it to a total of $30,000. The two-alarm house fire occurred in the 200 block of South Stricker Street around 6 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 24. A partial building collapse trapped six firefighters in the home, officials reported. Three died, two were rescued with minor injuries, and one was hospitalized with critical injuries. Officials said the person pictured below was seen in surveillance photos from the area of the South Stricker Street fire the night before it occurred. The individual "may have information crucial to the investigation," the ATF said in a statement Friday. Courtesy of the ATF. Mayor Brandon Scott is matching the ATF's reward for information "so that we can bring justice to the families" of the Baltimore firefighters lost this week, Scott said in a statement. Next, County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr. announced Baltimore County would match the reward money as well, "in solidarity with our regional partners ... in support of efforts to swiftly bring the perpetrators of this act to justice."
