Press release from the Jefferson Parish Government: January 27, 2022 JEFFERSON, LA - The Jefferson Community Action Programs Department (JeffCAP) will be hosting two CSBG Cares Emergency Mortgage Assistance outreach events for those affected by COVID-19. This program will assist with past, current and future mortgage payments (not to exceed six months). The first event will be held Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Dorothy B. Watson Community Center (1300 S. Myrtle St., Metairie, LA 70003). The second event will be held Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Marrero Community Center (1861 Ames Blvd., Marrero, LA 70072). See below for a list of required documentation needed to process applications: Please note, this outreach event is open only to Jefferson Parish residents and has a limited amount of space.
