Here are the top three stories today in Franklin: Three more Williamson County schools will be moving to remote instruction next week for the second week in a row due to rising COVID cases and staff shortages. Effective Monday, Heritage Middle School, Longview Elementary School, Hillsboro School, Pearre Creek Elementary School, Grassland Middle School, and Nolensville High School all are currently operating remotely. The Franklin Special School District, which is still open for in-person learning at this time, reported 174 total cases (128 students and 46 staff) district-wide on Friday. (Williamson Herald)A report from the Williamson Medical Center in Franklin stated that all their critically ill COVID-19 patients are unvaccinated. Out of the 31 people who are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, 19 are not vaccinated and 12 are fully vaccinated. Those who are not vaccinated and hospitalized are all 30 years of age and older.
