JERSEY CITY, NJ — A man was fatally stabbed at a Jersey City Light Rail station Friday night, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez. The death comes just days after Hudson County reported its first homicide of 2022. Jersey City police were called to the Danforth Avenue station just after 11:30 p.m. Friday where they found Kenneth Brown, 49, on the platform with a stab wound to his upper body, officials said. Brown was taken to Jersey City Medical Center where he died just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and the New Jersey Transit Police Department are investigating Brown's death. Currently, the official cause and manner of his death are unknown pending confirmation from the regional medical examiner's office. No arrests have been made, authorities said. Earlier this week, a 32-year-old man was killed in Jersey City on Sunday — the first homicide in Hudson County in 2022. Rasheen Bostick, 32, was fatally shot Sunday near Crescent and Belmont avenues. Less than two hours later, a "wild shooting involving two cars" occurred three blocks from where Bostick was found. Minutes later, a carjacking was reported downtown, according to Jersey City Times.
