Four more COVID-19 related deaths and hundreds of new infections have been reported in southwest Indiana.
The Indiana Department of Health announced one new fatality in Vanderburgh County, two in Warrick County, and one in Dubois County on the Wednesday dashboard.
Vanderburgh's pandemic death toll reached 532, Warrick's climbed to 218, and the toll in Dubois County reached 153.
The agency also counted more than 600 new infections in Vanderburgh, 274 in Warrick, more than 100 in Gibson County, and 79 in Posey County.
Positivity rates in the area were all above 30 percent, with Posey County at more than 41 percent.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana soared to 272, with less than 20 percent of intensive care bed available.
Across Indiana, the agency tallied 134 new fatalities and more than 10,000 new infections.
The infection total was down slightly compared to recent reports.
