LA GRANGE, IL — La Grange police released their latest blotter Friday. Here is information from the reports: Disorderly conduct, theft Cody Barton, 44, of Brookfield, was arrested about 8 p.m. Jan. 20 at Hillgrove Avenue and La Grange Road on charges of disorderly conduct and retail theft. According to a police report, Barton was involved in incidents at two stores — retail theft at Walgreens, 2 N. La Grange Road, and an argument at Wonderful Matcha, 4 W. Burlington Ave. Converter theft A catalytic converter was stolen from a car overnight Jan. 13 in the village parking lot at East Harris and Seventh avenues. Driving violations Robert Morales, 23, of Brookfield, was cited about 5 p.m. Jan. 21 at Plainfield Road and East Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license and driving with expired plates or registration sticker. Ashton King, 34, of Marhham, was cited about 8 p.m. Jan. 21 at Burlington Avenue and La Grange Road on charges of driving with a suspended license and disobeying a traffic control device. Alexander Pelaez, 23, of Bridgeview, was cited about 6 a.m. Saturday at La Grange Road and Shawmut Avenue on charges of no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding. Tenorio Zavala, 44, of Bolingbrook, was cited about 1 a.m. Jan. 16 at 47th Street and La Grange Road on charges of no valid driver's license and driving without lights when required. Identity theft A resident in the 300 block of South Blackstone Avenue told police Wednesday that someone opened a Verizon account using the resident's Social Security number. A resident in the 100 block of South Spring Avenue told police Thursday that someone took out a loan in the resident's name for about $900. The resident is working with the bank to return the money. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and people charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
