BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Bolingbrook man has been charged with aggravated battery to a child, after he battered his infant daughter, according to Bolingbrook Police.
Tyler Wright, 24, was booked into Will County Jail on Monday, and charged with two counts of aggravated battery to a child under age 13 and one count of aggravated domestic battery in connection to a Sept. 8, 2020 incident.
Police said Wright was at home with his infant daughter, when he claimed she was on his lap, kicked away and fell about two feet onto the carpet. She hit her head on the floor and on a wheel of a chair during the fall, police said.
She was taken to a hospital for a head and face injury, police said.
The Bolingbrook Police Department Investigations Division investigated the incident. After the investigation was complete, Bolingbrook Police Investigations presented the case to the Will County States Attorney's Office and the office approved charges and issued an arrest warrant for Wright.
Wright was booked into Will County jail Monday morning, and was released Monday afternoon, according to Will County records. His bond was set at $500,000 with 10 percent to apply.
According to court records, a condition of Wright's bond is to have "no harmful or offensive contact with the victim."
He is due back in court on Thursday.
