I have recently decided to make more room in my life for teaching. If you, or your family know of anyone else who wants to learn how play a flute, clarinet, or saxophone - I'm eager and available to teach them in my backyard or on Zoom. I love to teach students of all ages and abilities how to master their instruments and have fun doing it. Many of my more advanced students have been selected to perform with the Contra Costa County and California State honor bands. I offer individualized private instruction tailored to each student’s personal needs, skills, learning styles, and wishes. Believing that it is essential for musicians to receive proper instruction as beginners, I teach beginners of all ages and accept new students aged from 5 to 85. Some of my students are intellectually and/or musically gifted. I also teach Down’s Syndrome students and folks with autism and other disadvantages. . . I frequently teach two or more members of a family. That experience genuinely enhances family dynamics! When COVID allows (at no extra cost) we will go back to having ensembles that rehearse at the convenience of their members and occasionally play for churches, private parties, convalescent hospitals, and senior centers. . . I will very much appreciate you letting folks know that I am now available to help students and older folks become the musicians they have always wanted to be – playing the classics, pops, old favorites, hymns, standards, and Broadway show tunes. . .
