WADING RIVER, NY — Three people were arrested and charged with stealing credit cards from a vehicle outside a home in Wading River Friday, police said. According to Riverhead Town Police, Keval Gray, 31, of Amityville, David Andre, 29, of Amityville, and Carizma Brown, 31, of Central Islip were all arrested and charged with six counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Riverhead Police said on Friday at 4:42 a.m., a call came in from a Howard Street homeowner that there was a "suspicious" man on his property; the resident said the man had been seen, via a surveillance system, in his vehicle, police said. When the homeowner went out to confront the man, he had already left the area, police said. The homeowner went to check his vehicles and found that the man had gone through his wife's wallet and removed all of her credit cards, police said. The resident also confirmed that fact by further reviewing surveillance footage, police said. The homeowner contacted the police and then got into his vehicle and began to check the area himself, police said; he saw a vehicle nearby, and the driver took off at a high rate of speed when the homeowner approached, police said. The homeowner followed the vehicle and reported his location to police, police said. Several sector cars were dispatched to the area and were able to locate the vehicle nearby on Gerald Street, police said. While interviewing those inside the vehicle, an officer saw a number of credit cards strewn about the interior of the car; they were identified as the credit cards belonging to the homeowner on Howard Street, police said. The three were arrested and taken to Riverhead Police headquarters pending arraignment, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500.
