Cambridge City Offices Will Remain Closed For Veterans' Day

Press release from the City of Cambridge: November 8, 2020 In observance of Veterans Day on Wednesday, November 11, City offices will be closed, there will be no trash or recycling pickup in Cambridge and no street cleaning, and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations. The offices at the Cambridge Cemetery at 76 Coolidge Avenue remain closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11, but cemetery gates will be open from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. While City departments have resumed certain services by in-person appointment on limited days, most services can be provided online or over the telephone during normal city business hours, https://www.cambridgema.gov/covid19/departments. The trash and recycling daily pickup routes will be one day behind for the remainder of the week. As a reminder, Cambridge has a new contractor for recycling and yard waste pick up as of November 2, 2020. The collection day will not change, however the collection time may shift from week to week. All recycling and yard waste will be picked up between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. If your building or household has a missed trash, recycle, compost, or yard waste collection, please wait until 4 p.m. to report it. All missed collections should be reported at www.CambridgeMA.Gov/311 or by using the Commonwealth Connect app for iPhone/Android.
