My name is David, I’m a writer/singer/rhythm with 4/5 albums worth of material. I write in a wide vein with inspiration coming from Texas swing style progressions, doowop, jazz, post punk, Americana and anything that breeds ideas. I love the perfectionism and style of Marty Robbins and Willie Nelson, the honesty of Bill Callahan and Jonathan Richman and the energy of Joy Division and the Talking Heads. I’m looking for players who can play with finesse, creativity and taste and have ideas about arrangements. I’m looking to do something special with the right people. Lead guitar, keys, bass and percussion either or both standard kit/hand drums. I came to Austin with a guitar and a pen. If you’re interested I’d prefer to meet in person and have a jam.
