Supervisor for a commercial cleaning company

Established commercial cleaning service looking for a full-time supervisor. Your responsibilities include hiring, firing, training and supervising employees, starting new cleaning jobs, preparing payroll reports, picking up and delivering supplies and equipment, meeting with our customers. On a regular basis, you will visit our accounts to confirm that the work the janitor is doing meets or exceeds the customer's expectations. Communicating with our customers in person, phone or email is extremely important. In an emergency where no janitor is available, you may need to clean. We have small to medium size jobs that are cleaned one to five times per week during the day, evening or over the weekend. Our accounts are in all different parts of the Chicago area including suburbs. Many of our jobs take one person two to four hours to complete. Our employees are paid by the job, not by the hour, except for project work. Our employees clean more than one location per day, so they drive their own vehicle to the next job. We keep cleaning equipment at some of our jobs. For the smaller jobs, our janitor brings the cleaning equipment with them. One to three times per month we have overnight jobs in various suburbs of Chicago beginning around 8 p.m. and working to the early morning hours. Four to five employees work together on these jobs until the job is finished. We do not work 24 hours per day, but we do start working early in the morning and finish very late at night. You must pass a background check, drug test and have a good driving record. You must have previous supervisor experience with a commercial cleaning company.
