Description
$100 signing bonus upon successful hire! The Installation Worker will be responsible for making sure the landscape is installed properly, and the finished product is green and healthy; free of weeds, pests, and rubbish. The Installation Worker will be responsible for ensuring the newly landscaped lawn and irrigation system is installed according to the plan/scope of work and schedule set by the President/Account Manager. Essential Functions • Repair irrigation when needed and approved, immediately report all repairs. • Install landscapes and irrigation within allotted time set. • Follow company standards to ensure job site is completed correctly and according to allotted time set. • Follow specs and blue prints to properly layout and install a job as instructed by supervisor. • Be able to identify various plants by name. • Spray and apply fertilizers, pesticides, etc. • Pick up and deliver material and dump cuttings and/or rubbish. • Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles on a daily basis. • Manage time spent on each job site to insure it is done in the allotted time set. • Must be to follow safety procedures including use of proper PPEs. • Perform other related duties as may be required or assigned. Other Functions • Assist maintenance crew when needed. • Assist customers with their various needs. • Present verbally, a daily report and completed service records to the manager at the end of each workday. • Service company vehicles (changing fluids, checking air in the tires, filling gas tank, safety checks, cleaning trucks and equipment on a daily basis and washing the trucks down every Friday). Working Conditions: Work outdoors in all types of weather and many different types of conditions such as; dusty, hot, muddy, level properties, and steep hillside properties. Frequent use of different varieties of fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides which will be applied to the lawn. Equipment Used: Push mower, riding mower, large walk behind mower, weed whacker, edger, hedge trimmer, chain saws, blowers, pole pruner, and various types of hand tools.. Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday or as needed for Saturdays and Emergencies. Physical, Mental, and Communication Demands: Requires lifting of at least 100 lbs, frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment. Requires operating power equipment which is heavy and loud. Requires good communication skills (verbal and written). Skills/Knowledge: Must be able to operate machinery and equipment (such as Tiller, Bobcat, and Kanga), be able to follow instructions and safety procedures, including safety rules of operating equipment. Able to identify various plant and grass types. Good decision making skills to handle various problems that may arise. Requirements: Must have current Hawaii Driver License, Clean Abstract of Traffic Record and tools of the trade.
