Description
To every and all parents in the area seeking a caregiver/babysitter who you can trust, reply, and depend on, I am a full-time stay at home mom who loves interacting, playing, and working with children. I have two children of my own, one is two and the other is seven. I care for my two-year-old 24/7, while my seven-year-old attends school from 7- 8:00 AM to 3:55 PM. So I have plenty of time during the day. I would be babysitting from my home, My house is completely baby-proof and kid friendly. I have plenty of space, toys, etc. I do own a very gentle female adult cat, sweetest cat; loves people & kids. She could be put into a carrier or be watched during the day by someone else if there are any issues. I have plenty of play space, toys, books, puzzles, crafts, blankets, high chair, training potty, napping spaces, blankets, etc. My hours are M-F 8:00am - 3:20pm. I mind making special accommodations for parents who need extra time outside of my normal hours (which are M-F 8am-3:20pm). I’m always willing to work with parents who might need time during evening/night hours or on the occasional weekends if necessary. All I request is a heads up if you do need that extra time, at least a day’s notice in advance when possible. If something sudden comes up, and you can’t give me a day’s advance notice, I may still be able to work with you. I understand things do suddenly come up and you may not be able to give that far of a notice in advance. We can discuss that if the problem arises. My rate is $15/hr. My strengths as a woman, mother and caregiver consist of the vast knowledge I’ve obtained from my previous experience working with children, effective listening and communication skills, meal prepping and planning, providing a safe, clean, and comfortable atmosphere, helping with homework if necessary, having a caring and empathetic personality, attentiveness, organization skills, safety awareness, supervisory skills, stamina and resilience to stress, dexterity and problem-solving orientation, notably excellent patience, and being able to discipline children without using inappropriate methods. Forming a steady schedule to maintain an organized and structured environment is important to me. More importantly to me is maintaining the children’s health and well-being by providing healthy and individually-based (if necessary) meals, assisting with proper and continuous hygiene habits such as practicing proper hand washing, changing clothes/dressing children, bathing, changing diapers, and potty training. I follow the child’s regular eating/snacking and napping routine schedules; consistency is key with children. Additionally, I have skills in using distraction and refocussing techniques to help kids through those tough emotions they all face at one point or another. I promote good behavior by using the positive reinforcement method, and provide encouragement through offering emotional support to the child as needed. From preparing healthy snacks and changing diapers to establishing positive relationships with the children by designing creative games/activities to building forts to story time to arts/crafts to silly dance time, I’m pretty well-rounded enthusiastic, active, and supportive in every aspect of caring for children. I know how to handle emergency situations very calmly yet efficiently and contact emergency numbers quickly. I keep an open communication with parents about the child’s daily activities, behaviors, and related issues, if necessary. My experience paired with my positive attitude and friendly nature positions me to excel as a babysitter. I am confident I am capable of providing nothing but excellent care for your child, and in turn, for your family.
