Dinner and Silent Auction Fundraiser Join us in raising money to help a wonderful Ashland couple, Justin and Morgan Lehman in the adoption process. We are hosting a Spaghetti Dinner and silent auction to help them with their dreams in becoming parents. The Lehman's met in 2017, got married in 2018 and began trying for a child that year. After finding out Morgan was pregnant in August of 2018 they were ecstatic! Unfortunately, a few weeks went by and Morgan had to be transported to the hospital to perform an emergency tubal surgery due to an ectopic pregnancy. Fast forward to Christmas of 2019, after many failed attempts of trying to conceive again, they learned that IVF would be their next step. That’s when they found CNY Fertility in Syracuse, NY! They started their first IVF cycle in March of 2020 and became pregnant again. As excitement took over, they found out that they lost yet another baby. They were reassured that it was common to miscarry after the first IVF treatment, so optimistically they tried again! June of 2020 IVF round #2 started, and again, another loss. They then tried new medications that their doctor suggested, and six months later they transferred another embryo. On Christmas Day of 2020 they announced that they were going to be parents! The pregnancy started out fantastic and they were beyond overjoyed as they heard their little ones' heartbeat. Just a month later, at their 8 week ultrasound they got the news that the heartbeat had stopped about two days prior and Morgan would need a D&C to prevent infection. That was miscarriage number four. By their complete surprise, Morgan and Justin got pregnant naturally in May of 2021, they were over the moon. Until yet again, another miscarriage. Finally, in September of 2021 they felt okay again, adding even more medications. They were desperate to have a family, so as a last chance, they were going to try and use two embryos for twins! They didn't take, and it came out to be a biochemical pregnancy. Loosing seven babies in almost four years is something that no one should ever have to go through. Morgan and Justin are ready to adopt and become parents. Morgan was adopted herself, so it holds a special place in her heart. We are wanting to raise as much money for them as possible, as the cost for adoption is astronomical.
