Description

A unique, dinner pairing event where you will learn about pairing beer, wine, and spirits with different courses. This is a unique, light four-course pairing event where you will learn about pairings for different courses and flavor profiles. Each course is paired with selections from the Whistle Pig Brewery taps, cocktails hand crafted by 1350 Distilling, and personally selected wines. As a bonus, Humble Coffee will offer a special fresh brewed coffee and collaboration coffee cocktail with dessert. To round off the evening, you can choose to finish the night with a nice port or Champaign cocktail. The first course, a traditional charcuterie for two, and will be paired with a taster of one of Whistle Pig’s seasonal specialty beers and a wine pairing. The second course is a traditional mini wedge salad (you can choose a balsamic or traditional blue cheese dressing and even ask us to hold the bacon). This course will offer fun selections of beer, wine and a cocktail from 1350 Distilling. Our entrée offers you choices: • Tri Tip Santa Maria with Fresno pico, chipotle sweet potato mash, and seasonal vegetables. • Or, you can choose Pork Roulade stuffed with spinach, mushrooms, red peppers and parmesan. On request we can provide a vegetarian entrée; please make this selection when you purchase your tickets on Eventbrite. The entrée will come with your choice of a pint Whistle Pig beer, glass of wine, or a hand crafted 1350 cocktail each chosen with your entrée in mind. Dessert is a Petite Fours from Boonzaaijer’s Dutch Bakery served with your choice of either a fresh-brewed coffee, a collaboration coffee cocktail (by Humble coffee), special cocktail. Either choice will not disappoint. As usual there will be surprises, like delicious pallet cleansers between courses, give aways, and more… Class starts and the learning begins at 6 p.m. it is important we start on time. We look forward to exploring a selection of Whistle Pig beers, specially selected wines, and cocktails from 1350 throughout the four courses, all while sharing useful information for you to wow people with at your next get together. After dinner you can relax with a port wine taster or champaign cocktail, and hangout a while. Additional drinks are available from your server at additional cost. We will be joined by instructors: brew master Eric Merrell from Whistle Pig, Whistle Pig’s own chef Justin, Jake from 1350 Distilling, Cheer’s expert wine buyer Mark, our friend and cocktailer Melissa Ray, and master roaster Aaron from Humble Coffee. This experienced team will take time and explain each of their respective pairing in words we can all understand. Tickets are just $60 per couple and will go fast. If you have been to a Whistle Pig “school”, you know it will be amazing and fun! We are a community oriented brewery located in the Patty Jewett and Bonneville neighborhoods of downtown Colorado Springs. We look to bring tasting and social events to the community through our brewery and the plaza we share with so many great businesses.
