Join us for an eclectic program of orchestral favorites as we welcome internationally renowned pianist Rachel Franklin, performing J.S. Bach's Concerto in D minor, BWV 1052. Ms. Franklin and UMW Philharmonic director Glenn Quader have shared the stage in many of the most formidable piano works, including those by Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich, Beethoven, and Grieg. Showcasing the full orchestra on the program is Jean Sibelius' rousing Finlandia tone poem, and Edvard Grieg's enchanting Peer Gynt Suite No. 1. Join us in the lobby following the concert for a meet and greet of all artists.
