Come hear from experts in child protection and ministry discuss the important topic of abuse prevention. Does your ministry protect the most vulnerable? Many churches have assumed that their children and youth ministries are safe places for kids, but the past few years have shown us the need for more than just presumptions of goodwill. The Evangelical Council for Abuse Prevention is hosting a panel for ministry leaders that want to take concrete steps towards keeping kids safe. Our panel will feature Deepak Reju (Pastor of Biblical Counseling and Family Ministry at Capitol Hill Baptist Church), Jared Kennedy (Co-Founder and Managing Editor of Gospel-Centered Family), and Theresa Sidebotham (Founder of Telios Law, PLLC). These seasoned practitioners will help ministry leaders understand the need for abuse prevention, and offer practical tools to apply child protection principles to their own ministries.
