AIA Northern Indiana February Program -Designing with Tile 2022 - presented by IMI's Joe Alberts Join fellow members of AIA Northern Indiana for the first meeting of 2022. As we revive and re-engage the membership of the AIA Northern Indiana Section we hope you will mark the third Wednesday of each month on your calendar for a Section meeting. Lunch & Learn presentations, Building Tours and more are being planned. Meeting times and locations will vary. Attendees of this program will develop an understanding of the various types of tile, setting methods, system components, and quality assurance methods as outlined in the ANSI A 108 standards and the Tile Council of North America ( Handbook The program will address design and installation requirements for conventional and large format tile including substrate preparation and floor flatness standards It will examine ANSI requirements for mortar coverage, grout joint width, allowable lippage, layout, and bonding It will also look at the new standards for thin Gauged Porcelain Tile ( panels, and the specification language for installer qualifications appearing in the TCNA Handbook and MasterSpec.
