2022 AAU Illinois Central District Championships AAU National Qualifier After a 2 year absence we are excited to announce that the 2022 AAU Illinois Central District Championships and AAU National Qualifier is back!! We are looking forward to hosting 2 full days of Taekwondo action! We all know these past 2 years have been challenging on everyone- and safety is still our number one top priority- therefore we will be breaking up this event into 2 separate days to help alleviate some of the crowding to provide a safe and fun event for all who attend! **Face Masks will be REQUIRED by ALL who ENTER INSIDE the building- regardless of vaccination status. Athletes WILL be allowed to REMOVE their facemasks ONLY during competition. Outdoor seating my be available weather permitting. **ONLY 2 SPECTATOR TICKETS PER ATHLETE ALLOWED TO ENTER INSIDE OF THE BUILDING. ALL Matches will be livestreamed for viewing - and weather permitting additional spectators may watch outside. ALL ATHLETES AND COACHES MUST HAVE A CURRENT AAU MEMBERSHIP IN GOOD STANDING TO COMPETE. To renew your aau membership go to www.aautaekwondo.org SATURDAY APRIL 30TH- ALL Olympic Sparring divisions Athletes will arrive to the facility at their respective report times and ONLY those divisions will be allowed to enter the building at that given time *More details to follow and exact schedule to follow. SUNDAY- MAY 1ST - ALL SPORT POOMSAE, WT AND OPEN TRADITIONAL POOMSAE following the same format as the Sparring divisions- each division will report at their specific time and ONLY those divisions will be allowed inside of the building. *PLEASE NOTE: SPORT POOMSAE ATHLETES MUST HAVE PROPER UNIFORM FOR COMPETITION. COMPTITION POOMSAE DRAWS WILL BE RELEASED 1 WEEK PRIOR TO COMPETITION DATE. WT AND OPEN POOMSAE - NO SPECIFIC UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS.
