Description

Southeast regional battle of scale model WWI and WWII warships that battle (and SINK!) each other in fleet combat. Annual spring battle of our crazy but fun hobby, radio-controlled model warship combat. Mainly southern captains (Southeast Attack Squadron) but often includes members from other areas of the United States as it is an excellent opportunity to give our warships their final "shake downs" before the summer National Competition in July. This will be a 3 day battle from Saturday through Monday, with CO2 and food (lunches) provided lakeside. First battle will begin around 9:30 am each day. Expect to play at least two major battles each day, with potential "destroyer battles" in-between while the large ships patch, if our usual "tin can" captains attend and bring their ships. Please note: the address listed is actually the house address across from the gate into the lake property. The gate should be open Friday evening for any captains wishing to speed test or otherwise check ships prior to battle. Registration You should signup here on Eventbrite, but battling captains please also register and list the warship you will be bringing on the sign-up list on the Southeast Attack Squadron webpage: https://www.southeastattacksquadron.org/eventinfo.shtml?2022_01_22_13 *email Brian Koehler ([email protected]) for password assistance with that signup page or for any other event questions. All participants should be members of the IRCWCC and MUST have insurance through NAMBA. Please visit NAMBA website and join for 2021 if you have not already done so. If you have yet to register with IRCWCC please visit IRCWCC Membership Page to sign up. Donations to defray cost of CO2, drinks, and the lunches will be collected pond-side. Those bringing guests (spouses, interested friends, etc) just toss in a little for their lunches. Amenities CO2, drinks, and lunches will be provided. There is a large shade oak for those without pop-up's. Power will be run from the adjacent barn, and toilet facilities are also available on-site.
