Celebrate Elizabeth Peratrovich Day with Molly of Denali and her creators!
Join Molly of Denali, Alaska Public Media and show producer GBH as we learn about and honor Elizabeth Peratrovich, the incredible Tlingit woman who campaigned tirelessly alongside many Alaska Natives to enact the country's first Anti-Discrimination Bill in 1945. Her efforts ensured that every man, woman and child is afforded equal opportunity and protection from discrimination, leaving a permanent mark on Alaska and the country's history.
This free, two-hour event, will include a screening of the episode, Molly & Elizabeth, a panel discussion with show creators and meet and greet opportunities with Molly. Join us from 5-7 p.m. at the Alaska Native Heritage Center (or via live stream if you cannot attend in person). Light refreshments will be served.
Gift bags will be available for the first 100 kids, on a first-come-first-serve basis. Molly Activity Packs will be given away as game and/or raffle prizes.
