Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Cape Cod Crash

YARMOUTH, MA — A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in West Yarmouth Thursday afternoon, according to police. Police said the crash happened around 2:30 p.m., in the area of Pine Cone and Rainbow roads. The victim was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Police did not release the victim's name. "The men and women of the Yarmouth Police Department extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the victim," Yarmouth police said in a statement. Police said the driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers. Yarmouth police said more information regarding the crash will be released Friday.
