Press release from City of Fort Worth: January 28, 2022 Block Companies, general contractor for the Hughes House development in southeast Fort Worth, has scheduled a virtual pre-bid meeting for construction Phases 2 and 3 at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, on Microsoft Teams to field questions from potential multifamily subcontractors. The deadline to submit bids is March 15, 2022. Hughes House is a 210-unit, mixed-use development to be built at East Rosedale Street and Amanda Avenue as part of the Stop Six Choice Neighborhoods Initiative. Interested bidders should complete the Block Subcontractor Information Form prior to bid submission.  The development is funded in part by the City of Fort Worth and is subject to MWBE, Section 3, Davis Bacon and Related Acts. Minority- and women-owned businesses in Tarrant, Dallas, Denton, Wise, Price and Johnson counties that are certified through NCTRCA, DFWMSDC or WBCS are encouraged to submit bids.
