CHESTER COUNTY, PA — A man was sent into a rage that ended with two people shot after a woman bumped into him at a Chester County grocery store, police said.
Police are still searching for Moenell Coleman, 26, of Coatesville. He's charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and related counts.
The incident occurred on Jan. 26 at 9:50 a.m. at the Coatesville Market on 800 East Lincoln Highway.
Police said that the woman apologized after she bumped into Coleman, but he quickly "grew irate" and threatened to shoot her on the spot.
The woman left the store with Coleman following her and continuing to make threats, police said. She walked about a block back to her home, and when she looked out her door she saw Coleman approaching, according to authorities.
When she opened the door, Coleman fired several shots, grazing the woman in her leg and also striking her brother, who was inside the home, police said.
The woman was treated on the scene, while her brother was transported to Paoli Hospital. Police have not clarified his condition.
The search for Coleman continues. His residence is in Coatesville, but he also has ties to Norristown and Wilmington, Delaware.
