NORTHFIELD, MN — The city of Northfield announced that effective immediately, it will provide up to five KN95 masks to each resident. The masks can be picked up Northfield Public Library or the Northfield Police Department and no identification is needed to pick them up, the city said. Businesses can also pick up KN95 masks for their customers at the city's Chamber of Commerce, the city said. The city said that high-quality masks like the KN95 can help limit the spread of the omicron variant. "The importance of masking at this time is very apparent and important to many in our community," Mark Elliott, Northfield chief of police, said. The city also recommended that residents get vaccinated against COVID-19 if they are able. More information is available here.
